What is SSL Encryption?

SSL enables the encrypted and therefore secure data exchange between your browser and the Renoise.com server. Right now we have only a self signed certificate indicating the trustability of that connection, so you will get an warning if you use the SSL connection. We strongly recommend to use SSL  since it lowers the connection vulnerability dramatically - even if you have to accept our certificate manually. Neverless you can still disable SSL logon by deselecting the checkbox and plain text data exchange.

You tried to log in but your username could not be found. In the previous user-area (user.renoise.com) you had the option to customize your username in the following format:

{first name} {last name}

That didn't really affect anything back then, but in Renoise Backstage your older username is probably replaced by the custom username. Most likely you set it to reflect your real name (eg. John Doe).

If you do not remember what you typed, contact us and we will help you out. A username retrieval form is also in the works. We apologize for any inconvenience.
